Jamissa AM is an independent artist, creative visionary, and community voice known for blending hip-hop, soul, spoken word, and storytelling into music that feels both powerful and personal. Born the youngest of four siblings and raised by a strong single mother, Jamissa discovered her passion for performing at an early age through school talent shows, community events, and creative expression rooted in real-life experiences.

After relocating to Charlotte to pursue music professionally, she began developing her sound, a bold fusion of Southern hip-hop, conscious storytelling, rhythmic poetry, Afro-Caribbean influence, and empowering messages. Her artistry reflects confidence, healing, resilience, womanhood, leadership, and authenticity while staying grounded in culture and community.

Beyond entertainment, Jamissa AM uses music as a tool for motivation, empowerment, and connection. Whether performing original music, speaking to youth, creating educational content, or building community-centered programs, she believes that creativity should inspire people to grow, speak up, and unapologetically embrace who they are.
